Why El Chaparral Apartments?

 

El Chaparral is one of a few properties built in the 1960’s that has never metered for separate electrical billing.  Electricity is included in the rent.  Located on Harry Wurzbach in the near Northside of San Antonio, El Chaparral is a convenient location for Fr. Sam Houston.  The property has one, two and three bedroom apartments.  Built in 1965, there are 190 units.

There is 24 hour emergency maintenance.  The property has swimming pools.  There are laundry rooms.  There is covered parking, reserved parking, and a perimeter fence.  The property is on the school bus pick up route.  There are handicap modified units available.  There is maid service available.

 

Unit Amenities:

 

The kitchens have self cleaning ovens, frost free refrigerators, dishwashers, and disposals.  Other apartment amenities include ceiling fans with mini-blinds for window treatments and eat in kitchens.   There are private balconies or patios.  Units have walk in closets.  Select units have outside storage.  The units are pre-wired for cable television, telephone and high speed internet service.

 

Policies:

 

The office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:30, closed Saturday and Sunday.  Lease terms available are 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and12 months.

 

Fees for renting include an application fee of from $35 to $40.  There is a refundable deposit requirement of $150 to $300.  You need to make three times the rent or have a co-signer that meets this qualification.

 

There is reserved parking and covered parking available.

 

Pets are allowed with a per pet deposit of from $300 of which $150 is not refundable.  There is no pet rent and you are limited to two pets without weight restriction.  Certain breeds are restricted.

 

The apartment does check your credit; accept co-signers and first time renters.

 

This is an All Bills Paid type property where electricity, natural gas, trash, water, sewer and pest control are paid for by the property.  Cable, telephone, and internet are at the expensive of the tenant.

 

Directions:

 

Take I-410 East to the Harry Wurzbach Road Exit (#24) towards Ft Sam Houston.  Right on Eisenhauer Road and then left on Harry Wurzbach and then right on Austin Hwy (TX-368-SPUR).  We are down Austin Highway on the right.

If EL CHAPARRAL is not the apartment for you, then please consider telling me more about what you want and need. My name is Don Reser and I have been involved with real estate since 1984.  I consider myself the very best locator in San Antonio and I CAN HELP YOU, but I need you to HELP ME. Unless you are willing to allow me to help you by giving me the time to show you personally at least three apartments, it is really going to be hard.  You are welcome to look around on your own, but generally it is inefficient and you will become tired and confused.  (There are 700 commercial properties in San Antonio.)  I will send you an email list of properties with directions to help you look on your own, and you are welcome to use my help this way.  We have two databases to look at properties.

 

My experience is that it takes about 4 hours of viewing with an experienced locator at a minimum to find the right place.  If you invest 8 hours with me, I will be able to show you at least two places you would want to rent at for your price.  Okay so spend all the time you want on your own and then when you really want to get the job done, call me.
